Service Description

I aim to provide and develop more opportunities for members of the community who, due to social, cultural or financial barriers, may not have the chance to experience the positives associated with yoga. I work with adults, children and families and am particularly interested in using yoga and mindfulness practices as tools to reduce social isolation, promote connection, positive attachment, confidence and shared understanding. These practices also allow individuals and families to develop healthy ways to manage stress and anxiety as well as improve physical health. I have worked jointly with the NHS and third sector organisations to design and deliver trauma informed yoga programmes as well as yoga sessions for those living with dementia. I offer a safe, supportive and enjoyable environment and I love helping people to discover that they have the tools and skills, through movement and breathwork, to better deal with stress and improve their general health and wellbeing. Alongside my wellbeing work, I have over 15 years of experience in health and social care and continue to work in frontline mental health services.
